RIDGE HOUSE HAS COMPLETED THE INTERIOR REFURBISHMENT OF A CABIN IN THE POCONO MOUNTAINS. THE LAND IS LOCATED ON A RIDGE PEAK IN THE DELAWARE WATER GAP AREA. THE HOUSE IS PERCHED AMONG THE TREES WITH VIEWS OF THE CANOPY. THE HISTORY OF THE LOCAL REGION INSPIRED THE PROJECT. THE TRADITIONS OF PENNSYLVANIAN DESIGN WERE RESEARCHED AND EMBRACED- LEADING TO DUTCH, AMISH, AND COLONIAL STYLE CRAFT DETAILS. ALL FURNITURE WAS CUSTOM MADE BY RIDGE HOUSE OR FOUND WITHIN THE AREA. ASSOCIATIONS WITH THE HISTORICAL CONTEXT OF THE REGION ARE MEANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO AN ENRICHED SENSE OF SITE AND STORY. RUSTIC AND NATURAL MATERIALS WERE SOURCED IN REFERENCE TO THE NATURAL LANDSCAPE. THE MOUNTAIN RANGES OF THE AREA LEAD TO RECREATION AND ASSOCIATION WITH THE WOODS, AND THE RIDGE HOUSE IS MEANT TO HAVE THAT SAME RELATIONSHIP WITH ITS NATIVE SURROUNDINGS.
