Industry and craftsmanship are part of the heritage of the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick. The post-industrial space lent to an expression of that history, with 14' tall ceilings and exposed brick.
Throughout the process of the design, Ridge House Studio reached out to artisans in the notoriously creative neighborhood. Locally made ceramics, art, and various pieces of craft were incorporated into the design. Ridge House Studio designed and built custom mill work and furniture to display and sculpturaly exchange with these pieces.
It is meant to be a place of eclectic found objects, that will inherently welcome and encourage creativity for those living, working, or entertaining there.
